Cape Town is mesmerising. I fell in love with the city when I first visited. Table Mountain divides the “Mother City” into two main areas, The Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl. Within these areas you’ll find a bunch of diverse and charming suburbs and an abundance of boutique hostels, hybrid hotels and homely B&Bs for every budget and travel style.
Tanzania is one of the best places to see the Big 5 in Africa. I was blown away by the sheer amount of wildlife we saw on our 1-week safari. Our journey led us from Dar Es Salam to Arusha, Moshi and Mount Kilimanjaro to Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and to Lake Manyara. The scenery we got to experience was out of this world. Forget about Kruger National Park, head to Tanzania instead! This is the story of the best safari of my life.
Turning thirty a couple of years ago, I was wondering if I was too old then to go backpacking again. Although there seemed to be so many others wanting to travel the world beyond their twenties.
